As we step into 2025, I find myself reflecting on 2024, a year full of challenges but also growth. Maybe, like me, you’ve had a year that didn’t go as planned. Perhaps you did not achieve (or accomplish) all that you wanted to. But I’ve learned that success isn’t about hitting every target. Sometimes, it’s about how we rise to meet obstacles and keep moving forward, even when things feel tough.

Looking back, I see a year of resilience. For many of us, 2024 has been about adjusting to changes, at work, in our personal lives, or both. If you’ve faced setbacks, I hope you’ve found growth in them. The toughest moments often bring the greatest lessons.

Maybe you’ve had moments where the weight of the world felt heavy, tough decisions, personal struggles, or external challenges. We faced our own hurdles this year: leadership changes, market slowdowns, and unexpected crises. And we held steady and grew and learned.

This year reminded me of life’s unpredictability. Two hurricanes hit our region, disrupting everything and reminding us how quickly things can change. But in the chaos, we saw how our community came together. What did those moments teach you about resilience?

On a personal note, 2024 was about prioritizing self-care – physically, emotionally, and mentally. If you’ve struggled with this balance, I encourage you to make it a priority in 2025. In order to show up for others, we first need to take care of ourselves.

As we enter 2025, I invite you to reflect on your own journey. What has 2024 taught you about resilience and growth? Maybe you didn’t hit all your goals, but what did you learn from setbacks? For me, 2025 is a year of possibility and purpose, and I’m ready for whatever challenges come my way.

This is the perfect time for you to ask yourself: What lessons from 2024 can you carry into the new year? What do you want to let go of, and what do you want to embrace more fully?

I’m setting a few clear intentions, and I hope they’ll resonate with you:

  1. Intentionality and Presence: Life moves quickly. I’m committing to being more intentional with my time and energy. Are there areas in your life where you feel stretched too thin? How can you be more present in the moments that matter most?
  2. Empowering Others: My role isn’t about solving problems for others; it’s about empowering those around me to solve their own challenges. How can you help others grow in 2025?
  3. Creating Memories: Life is short. I’m committing to creating more moments of joy and connection, whether through travel, time with family, or simply being present. How can you create more of these moments in your own life?
  4. Self-Acceptance: I’m prioritizing self-love and self-acceptance. If you’ve been hard on yourself this year, I encourage you to be kinder to yourself.

The coming year holds limitless potential. What will you choose to focus on? What boundaries will you set to protect your well-being?

We don’t need to have it all figured out today, but the steps we take will bring us closer to the lives we want to live. Let’s embrace 2025 with intention, resilience, and purpose. Let’s make it count.
