How much time can I save using AI Report Writer?

Users typically save 6 hours per week by automating repetitive writing tasks, and your report is crafted entirely with expert recommendations, suspected disability insights, a personalized action plan, and accommodations.

Does AI replace me as the clinician?

No. AI Report Writer is a support tool. Clinicians remain responsible for reviewing, editing, and adding their professional judgment to the final report.

Will the report sound like it was written by a clinician?

Yes. You can customize tone and detail level to match your professional style and audience (e.g., parent-friendly tone for school reports)

What file types can I upload?

PDFs, Word documents (DOC/DOCX), HEUC, JPEG, PNG, and TXT with max file size of 100MB.

How long does it take to generate a report?

Generating a report may take up to 20 minutes, but typically takes about 5-10 minutes.

Can I edit the report after it’s generated?

Absolutely. The AI-generated report is a draft. Clinicians are expected to review and refine it before finalizing the report. Note: You can only create the report once. After it's generated, you won’t be able to add documents or change any report settings.

Why is AI Report Writer labeled as “BETA,” and what does that mean for me as a user?

AI Report Writer is currently in its BETA phase, meaning the tool is fully functional, but is still evolving based on feedback from early adopters like you. We value your input and see this as a collaborative process—your experience and suggestions will be considered as we refine and enhance the product. Using AI Report Writer during BETA means you can help shape a tool that will be truly responsive to clinicians’ workflows and expectations.

Privacy & Security

Is the system secure and compliant?

Yes. It is HIPAA, COPPA, and FERPA compliant, backed by PAR’s commitment to privacy and security. Please see our AI Report Writer specific PARiConnect AI Platform End User License Agreement. For more information about PAR’s commitment to privacy and security visit our Trust Center.

What happens to the data I upload?

Identifiable information, considered PHI, is replaced with tokens (aka “tokenized”) before being processed by the AI. Referential tokenization techniques protect sensitive information that you as a provider submit on or through the tool pertaining to your clients, including personal information, protected health information (PHI), and other information contained in documentation (collectively, considered “Client Data”). This approach ensures that client data is preserved through consistent tokens while safeguarding personal information and protected health information. The final report restores the original data for clinician review.

Is the data I upload shared with any third parties?

No, AI Report Writer is a closed system and the data you upload will be used only for purposes of generating your specified report.

How does AI Report Writer protect sensitive information?

  • When viewing reports online, AI Report Writer replaces sensitive data elements, for example, a client’s name, with a non-sensitive substitute, called a token.
  • A token is simply a random string of numbers, symbols, and letters with no meaning.
  • A person’s name, such as Susie Smith could be replaced by this token, 6f7%gf38hfUa, in the online report. Or Susie’s address could be displayed as XXXXXX1234.
  • Once you download the final report to your computer, your report will once again contain original data elements.

What are the technical specifications of AI Report Writer?

  • AI Report Writer lives within PARiConnect, PAR's highly secure, SOC2-compliant public cloud environment.
  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS v1.2+) and at rest (minimum of AES-256) and adheres to HIPAA and FERPA standards for the handling of health and student data.
  • Only de-identified tokenized data, free of PHI or PII, is used in the AI large language model while the user is creating the report within PARiConnect. Once the report is generated, tokens are removed and PHI or PII is once again viewable.
  • PAR's AI agent and large language model (LLM) operates entirely within PAR's private infrastructure. No data is shared with any public AI platforms or third-party services outside of PAR's control.

Clinical Best Practices

How do I validate AI-generated content?

Use clinical standards to check generated content for consistency, evidence-based recommendations, and accuracy. Spot and correct any AI “hallucinations” or errors.

Can I add clinical nuance to the report?

Yes. You’re encouraged to personalize the report with context, interpretation, and professional judgment. The final report is generated in Microsoft Word format, making adding your input simple.

When should I avoid using AI?

Avoid AI in high-risk cases, when data is insufficient, or when legal constraints apply.

Is AI Report Writer aligned with APA best practices?

Transparency & Informed Consent

AI Report Writer is designed to support, not replace, your professional judgment. As the APA notes, even subtle AI use (like grammar suggestions) requires transparency and clinician awareness—especially for more substantive assistance. With AI Report Writer, clinicians maintain full control over content inclusion, editing, and final interpretation.

Bias Mitigation

APA emphasizes the need to evaluate AI for bias and equity risks. PAR’s model is trained exclusively on valid psychological assessment instruments minimizing bias and preserving test integrity. You’re empowered to review and revise every section, ensuring culturally and contextually accurate reporting.

Privacy & Security

APA reminds us that protecting sensitive data is non-negotiable. AI Report Writer is HIPAA and FERPA compliant. All personal health information is tokenized meaning that all sensitive information is replaced with a random string of characters when viewed online. Only when you download the final report to your personal device is the protected information placed back into the report.

Human Oversight

APA clearly states: “AI should augment, not replace, human decision‑making.” AI Report Writer generates draft text based solely on clinician input. You control the information that goes into generating the report and then have the opportunity to review, edit, and augment the final report.

Accuracy & Integrity

APA stresses the importance of verifying AI-generated content. AI Report Writer has been rigorously evaluated to ensure high accuracy in reporting. However, final responsibility—and clinical judgment—always rests with the professional using the tool.
